Silly case files.

Tiny mysteries starring a detective, a dumpling, a very sleepy chicken and some argumentative pizza. Each one hides something you can use.

Comic in four panels. A girl detective asks who stole the middle digit of 43 times 11. She accuses a smug dumpling, which sweats while holding a star with the number 7 on it and says it was just keeping it warm. Case closed: 4 plus 3 is 7, so 43 times 11 is 473.
The missing middle. Multiply by 11 in your head. Try the trick
Comic in four panels. The puzzle is 10 heads and 28 legs. The detective asks why the chicken has bunny feet. The chicken, embarrassed, says they are slippers. The detective holds her head, dizzy, and the chicken says math is hard. The case is postponed: the detective naps on a pillow while the chicken sleeps beside her.
Chicken slippers. The puzzle behind it is real. Solve it
Comic in four panels. A happy soap bubble with the character 好 says it is having a good day. A giant finger approaches and the bubble begs it not to. Pop! A new bubble with the character 学 floats in, looks around, and asks where 好 went.
Please don't pop. Meet 好 and 学. Pop some bubbles
Comic in four panels. Two pizzas argue about who has more: one is cut in half, the other in four pieces. The detective cuts the half in two and shows that a half equals two quarters. Both pizzas are the same size, and both are hungry.
The pizza argument. Half is two quarters. Do today's practice
Comic in four panels. A dumpling finds 12 times 5 too hard. The detective says to halve the 12 and double the 5, giving 6 times 10. The dumpling says that is easy: 60. It asks if it can double its lunch too, and the detective says only if it halves its appetite.
The double-and-half machine. 12 × 5 is 6 × 10. Try the lesson
Comic in four panels. Two bubbles, 女 and 子, each say they are just one character. They bump into each other and together become the character 好, which means good.
Better together. 女 plus 子 makes 好. Learn more characters
